Two sisters, young teenagers, disappeared from a shopping mall in 1975. There were no leads, no suspects. Now, thirty years later, a woman picked up on hit and run charges is claiming to be one of the girls. She knows a lot, about the girls, about their family, about their childhood, but so many of the people that knew the girls then, that had firsthand knowledge of their lives, are dead or deteriorated. The woman refuses to tell the entire story of what happened--she won't even give the police the name she's been living under.
I liked this one a lot. Good characters, good mystery, good twist.
