Another surprise! this book does not end! book. Have I mentioned that I'm tired of those? I can't seem to find a source that says there will be a second book in the series, but, well, I expect that there will be, if the book does well, since, as I mentioned, the book does not end. And I've read many positive reviews, so, yes, I think the book will do well...this is not going to be a positive review, but they're out there! Don't trust my opinion!I don't feel like writing a summary, so: twin sisters, one the Gate, one the Guardian. The Gate is supposed to let fallen angels/demons/lost souls back onto the Earth so that when Satan comes, he'll have an army waiting. The Guardian is supposed to stop that from happening. There's more, but basically, you know, sisterly rivalry and communicating with the dead and yadda yadda yadda.
It's supposed to be creepy, I think, but I didn't find it creepy. There are supposed to be shocking!twists! but I was not shocked, or even mildly surprised. I finished the book, without much skimming, so it must have been okay, and probably decently written, but I just didn't care about it. I wouldn't pick up a sequel. I love the cover though; the cover is about 100% of the reason I decided to read the book. I think this book is written for teenagers who love Milton, but honestly, that's kind of a narrow audience.
