Catching Fire - Suzanne Collins Amazing. I had high expectations for this book, and I was not let down, even a little. My manager also read it this weekend, and she asked me today whether I found it a little boring, because of the similarities to the first book, and, I can see where it could have been repetetive or recycled-feeling, no. No, not even a little. It was exciting, packed with great characters and action, and I literally threw a fit when my fella and our friend made me stop reading to play a game.

I did--I was hit by the first book. While I was reading it, it was like someone was punching me, over and over again, in the chest. When I finished, I was haunted by it, the characters and the story and the wondering hung around in my head for days. It was raw and painful. This book didn't have that same impact, I will admit, because it just wasn't as--couldn't have been--as shocking, as, well, the ages of the characters involved has a lot to do with it, I think.

Anyway, amazing. I want to read it again.
