I really enjoyed this book. Do you know the ways in which butterflies and moths are different? Or that butterflies have tiny scales all over their wings, that can fall away if you touch them? Or that caterpillar droppings are call frass, and that some catterpillars can "shoot" their frass three feet away? These are some interesting, and funny, tidbits that you'll learn in this book, which teaches all about butterflies and caterpillars, and how one becomes the other.
I know that this is a topic that is done quite a lot in children's literature, but the illustrations, which are captioned in some hilarious ways, and the simply, straight-forward text that is easy to read but not dumbed-down, make this one a real stand out. There are illustrations throughout the book of different types of butterflies, life processes, plants that butterflies enjoy, etc. I would definitely recommend this to a person of any age who wanted to learn about this topic.
