A Voice From the Wilderness: The Story of Anna Howard Shaw - Don Brown This is a biography of Anna Howard Shaw, a woman who earned a college degree in 1878, became first a minister, then a doctor, and then an important voice in the women's suffrage movement. For all that she accomplished, and all that she fought against to do so, the narrative is disappointingly flat. The illustrations are very nice watercolors, but the text just doesn't back them up enough.
