Another book I couldn't put down. I think I read this in one day. A compelling story about a girl who moves to a new town and meets a vampire who seems to hate her at first sight. I think you can all pretty much tell where this will end up. It's the romance that made this so wonderful for me. I've always had a soft spot for vampire novels, thanks to an early reading of Anne Rice's (well, the first four or so are pretty good, anyway), and then Poppy Z. Brite's Lost Souls, which...well. This isn't anything like those, though, and I think it's the better for avoiding the cliches (and the horror genre, which, in general, is not my favorite).
Good YA books are REALLY GOOD, y'all. And they're fast reads!
Oh, it's the first in a trilogy, too, but I haven't read the second yet and the third comes out in August. Something to look forward to.
