Tim, Sean, Gordon (called Go-Go), Mickey, and Gwen. Five childhood friends--the three boys, all brothers, with Go-Go the youngest. Go-Go, who, more than 35 years after the five of them ceased to be a single unit, has killed himself. Maybe. Probably. And it maybe, probably, has something to do with what happened that summer, the night of the hurricane, in the cottage in the woods. My goodness, these books go quickly. I loved the characters in this one, especially the children. Their parents were interesting, flawed, sympathetic, but not terribly likeable. The children were children--callous, incautious, narcissistic. And the mystery was fascinating.
